About Sarasvati Dance – Belly Dance Teacher & Performer in London
Welcome — I’m Sara, the founder and creative artist behind Sarasvati Dance. I’m a multi-award-winning Oriental Dance performer and teacher, based in London. My dance journey began over ten years ago with a passion for music, movement, and self-expression. What started as a personal interest has grown into a professional offering of belly dance classes, coaching, and stage performances across the UK.
I’ve trained extensively in Egyptian and Turkish-style belly dance, as well as in fire performance and props such as veil, sword, candle tray, and wings. Every class and show is crafted with attention to detail, musicality, and elegant stage presence.
My formal training began nine years ago with a focus on Egyptian folkloric styles, which expanded into Turkish Oriental dance and darbuka rhythm studies. I’ve studied with some of the most respected names in Oriental dance, including:
Randa Kamel, Tito Seif, Khaled Mahmoud, Mercedes Nieto, Jillina, Sadie, Razia Star, Wael Mansour, Marta Korzun, Mohamed Shahin, Elena Ramazanova, Aleksei Riaboshapka, Madam Raqia Hassan, Leyla Jouvana, and Nika Mlakar.
I’ve performed at weddings, cultural festivals, stage productions, private parties, and corporate events, both in the UK and internationally. My performances are known for their grace, musical interpretation, and captivating style.
